Foster Hixson
Cemetery

Foster Hixson Cemetery is located on Big Ridge in the Hixson area of Chattanooga. The land was donated by Ephriam Foster Hixson in 1915. The first burial was that of Alton C. Hixson, son of David S. and Isabell Pendergrass Hixson. The cemetery is very well maintained by caretaker, Roland Parrott. A chain link fence topped with barbed wire and a locked gate surrounds the cemetery. From Highway 153, take Hixson Pike north 4.8 miles and turn right on Gold Point Circle South. Travel 2.2 miles on Gold Point Circle turning right on Foster Hixson Cemetery Road. The road will come to an end after 6/10 of a mile and the cemetery is located on top of a hill just past the gate.
