We, W. H. Tittle and wife Mary [Thompson] Tittle of said County and State in consideration of the sum of Five hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt of exact is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold to B. F. Tittle and Jefferson Tittle both of the same County and State one fifth interest in the following land situate in the fourth civil district of the entirety on the south side of the Tennessee River and land as follows:

Personally appeared before me L. B. Headricki a notary Public duly elected commissioned and qualified in and for the County and State aforesaid W. H. Tittle and wife Mary Tittle the within named bargainers with whom I am personally acquainted and have acknowledged that they entered the written instrument for the purpose herein named. And Mary Tittle wife of the said W. H. Tittle having appeared before me privately and apart from her husband the said Mary Tittle acknowledged the said deed to have been deemed made without coercion or ?? of her husband for the purposes herein named. Given before me at office in Chattanooga on the third day of February 1896.
