ARMSTRONG, Joseph Newton
Sgt. Joe Armstrong, (Dog Tag, Serial # 34880417), a 50 Caliber gunner of B-26G, Maruader Bomber, "Erma" Battle # 73, Serial # (43-34238) of 12th Air Force, 17th Bombardment Squadron, 95th Bombardment Group. Killed in action December 23, 1944, Achern, Baden, Germany. Buried in Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery, Red Bank, Tennessee.

BAISDEN, Cecil C.
Enlisted November 23, 1942. Sergeant Seventh Division. Was one of the five GI's who lowered Japan's
flag in Seoul Korea and replaced it with the Stars and Strips. Recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Sgt. Harry Lee Denham born December 16, 1922 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Joined United States Marines in June 1944. Served with the 5th Marine
Division on Okinawa and Iwo Jima. Honorably discharged in June 1948. Died
April 23, 1960 of heart attack at Erlanger Hospital. He is buried in the
