Charlie Arthur Adams, Jr.


Charlie Arthur Adams Jr., 37, Chief U. S. Navy retired, of 216 Trenton St., Red Bank, died this morning at his residence.

 He was retired from the U. S. Navy after 18 years of service and was a member of the Church of Christ.

 Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Marie and Jacqueline Michelle Adams, both of Clinton, Maryland; one son, Daniel James Adams, Clinton; mother, Mrs. Dovie Massengale Adams, Red Bank; father, Charlie Adams Sr., Red Bank; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Adams Minter, Arnold, Md, Mrs. Judy Ritchie and Mrs. Ruby Meade, both of Chattanooga and Mrs. Lorene Jones, Melbourne, Fla; two brothers, Amos Adams, Chattanooga, and Robert Adams, Waynesboro, Va.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Johnny Statom officiating.

 Interment will be in National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the

North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Hwy. 153 in Hixson.
