Dovie Massengale Adams, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the age of 97.  She was born February 12, 1910.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Adams, Sr.; children, Ruby Meade, Robert Adams, Judy Ritchie, Charlie "Sparky" Adams, Jr., Marvin Massengale; five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Amos "Buddy" Adams, of Chattanooga, Lorene Jones, of Melbourne, FL, Ruth Minter of Crofton, MD; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Minister Edward Reachard officiating.

Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends from 4-9 today at the funeral home.
