CROSS, Miss Jennie, aged pioneer resident, died yesterday at home of niece (Miss Laura Cross Flanagan) at 22 Alta Vista Drive, east of Missionary Ridge. Funeral at residence today, 2:00. Rev. Williams, pastor Brainerd Methodist Episcopal Church, South will officiate, assisted by Rev. T. J. Haldeman of Christ Episcopal Church. Burial Brainerd Cemetery. Miss Cross, native of Albany, KY, born 1844, lived in Chattanooga seventy years. She was a teacher in the first public schools in Chattanooga. She reared her niece and nephew, Robert Cross Flanagan, now of St. Paul, MN. Several other nieces and nephews in distant cities survive her.
