CUMMINGS – MRS. TENNIE PARKER, 89, widow of Sam Cummings, a Gold Star mother and member of a well-known pioneer family of Hamilton County, died at her home, 3935 St. Elmo Avenue, St. Elmo, at 10:45 o’clock Friday morning. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Hannah Cummings; two sons, T. H. and L. C. Cummings, St. Elmo and two brothers, Sam and Tom Parker, of Chattanooga. Mrs. Cummings had lived in Lookout Valley and St. Elmo all of her life. She was a member of the James Craig Lodor Post Auxiliary of the American Legion. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home of J. Avery Bryan Company at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Minister Leslie G. Thomas officiating. Interment in McGill Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home of J. Avery Bryan Company.
