Obituary of Erba Davis

Davis, Erba, 87, of Soddy-Daisy, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was past chairman of the Hamilton County Democrat Party, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ferroll Davis; son, Jack Davis, Sarasota, Fla; three daughters, Billie Watkins, Hixson; Audrey Clements, Sarasota; Norma Hartman, Smyrna, Ga; sister, Marie Wilson, Soddy-Daisy; three step-sons, George, Jerry, and Jim Potts; 12 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9p.m. today.
