Milton Denham, 67, died Sunday morning, January 23, 1983, at his home at 2808 Curtis Street. Mr. Denham was a member of the East Chattanooga Baptist Tabernacle, where he served as Treasurer, Chairman of Deacons and teacher of the Crusaders Bible Class. Mr. Denham was retired after 38 years with the Cavalier Corp. He served in the United States Army from 1936 to 1939 stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Denham. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Mrs. Mary Louise Delzell DENHAM; two sons, Gary E. Denham of East Ridge, TN. and Rev. Billy G. Denham of Chattanooga and mother Mrs. Mattie Hindman DENHAM of Harrison. One brother, Leonard Denham of Chattanooga; one sister, Bonnie Brown, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the East Chattanooga Baptist Tabernacle with Dr. Milford Ely and Rev. Haynes Watson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery with George Smith, Chester Butler, Winfrey Crowe, Paul Daugherty, Carl Cooper and Harold Foster serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Crusaders Bible Class of the East Chattanooga Baptist Tabernacle. The West Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home is in charge of services. |
