JOSEPH FRANKLIN DUNCAN, aged 73, residing at 1705 West Forty-ninth street East Lake, died suddenly yesterday morning at 6:45 o'clock. He had been in failing health for some time, although his death was a complete shock for his relatives and friends. He arose yesterday morning at the usual hour and at the time he was stricken he was only a short distance from his home on the way to work. Mr. Duncan had many friends. At one time he was county judge of Madison, Co., Nebraska. He was a member of the Methodist church and Odd Fellows Lodge No.508, of East Lake. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. J. P. Lecroy, of this city; two sons; Albert Duncan, of Washington, D.C., and Sidney Duncan of Cedar Hill, Texas; and one brother John Duncan of Dedrick, Mo. The body was moved to the funeral parlors of the Harry E. Chapman company and prepared for burial. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
