Ruben Dye

DYE RUBE, 82, of Rt. 1, Signal Mountain, died at the home of his daughter in Chattanooga Saturday evening. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Missouri Dye; three sons, Willis and Calvin Dye of Chattanooga and Leonard Dye of California; five daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Durham, Mrs. Hattie Baker, Mrs. Ann Brown, Mrs. Katherine Scroggins, Mrs. Gertie Cassidy; 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and one brother, Calvin Dye. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST, at the Church if God of the Prophecy, Signal Mountain, conducted by Brothers Lee Whitmire and Johnny Peardon. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers are Billy Rice, Jerry Lane, W. T. and J. A. Cassidy. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Hudson, Willis Dye Jr., Jennings Dye, Odis Hudson, Charles Hudson, Bill Pickett. The body is at the home of Harrison Brown, Rt. 1, Signal Mountain. Arrangements are by Putnam-Standifer Funeral Home, Dunlap, Tenn.
