ENGLAND -- BESSIE MAE GREEN, 87, of 107 Alford St., Athens,
TN, died Monday (Oct 31, 1988) at her home. A native of Blue Ridge, GA,
she was a resident of Rossville for many years before moving to Athens 12 years
ago. She was a member of Rossville First Baptist Church and was preceded
in death by her parents, John O. and Maggie Guy Green, and her husband, Charles
M. England. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Sue England, Athens;
sister, Frankie Botts; brother, Fred Green, both of Blue Ridge; several nieces
and nephews. Services were Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the
Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 am today
in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home, Athens.
