Chaney Lee
Eustice, 81, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005. He was the son
of the late Tom and Jeannie Mae Eustice and was a veteran of World War II. He
was born a son of three generations of coal miners, growing up on
Ducktown Street
. Chaney worked for the Electric Power Board for 39 years, where he held several
positions in systems operations. Chaney was an avid fisherman and hunter, he
also coached baseball and basketball for 19 years, during which he spent
countless hours practicing and hauling ball players to practice and games. He
was one of the founders of the Soddy-Daisy Kids Club, where he helped shape the
lives of numerous young men and woman. He was also preceded in death by two
brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice Eustice; children, David, Gil and
Tommy Eustice, Suzanne Mendell; sister, Mary Alice Cain; five grandchildren; and
two great-grandsons.
Graveside service will be at
noon
Wednesday at
Soddy
Presbyterian
Cemetery
with the Rev. Don Lasley officiating.
Family will receive friend from

today at the funeral home.
