EVANS - Mrs. Sis, 70, wife of Oscar Evans, died at midnight Thursday at her home on Signal Mountain. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clint Pickett; four sons, Raymond Dye, Clarence Dye, Art Die and Lee Dye, all of Signal Mountain; three sisters, Mazrie Dye, Moll Daniel and Jenette Olen, all of Sale Creek; two brothers, John and Creed Shadrick, also reside in Sale Creek; three stepchildren, Arlie, Martin and Miss Sadie Evans, reside in East Chattanooga. She also is survived by 24 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Signal Mountain Church of God with Revs. Hugh Richey and William Venable officiating. Interment will be in Red Bank Cemetery. Pallbearers will be W. T. Sampley, Charlie McQuarie, Charlie Neal, W. O. Brown, Tom Neal and Chris Durham. Putnam-Stanford Burial Association, Dunlap, Tenn., will be in charge of arrangements.
