Charles E. Ezell, 63, of
Chattanooga, died in a local hospital. He was a native of
Chattanooga, a graduate of Kirkman High School and son of the late
Floyd L. Ezell.
He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Miracle Mikle. He
was retired from the Chattanooga Police Department and at his death
he was employed with the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation
Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Miles Ezell; children, Karen
(Rusty) Romito of Chattanooga, Susie (Rick) Mikle of Cleveland,
Tenn., and Charles E. Ezell Jr. of Chattanooga; grandchildren,
Kristy (Dale) Biggs, Nicholas Romito, Promise Mikle, Jordan Mikle,
Hunter Mikle, Amy Ezell and Amanda Ezell. He also is survived by
his mother, Wilma G. Ezell of South Pittsburg; several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday Dec. 30, 2004, in the
East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Dean
and the Rev. Jimmy Carl Ball officiating.
Interment will follow in Rock Spring Cemetery, Rock Spring, Ga.
