Elbert L. Fitzgerald

Elbert L. Fitzgerald, 77, of Ooltewah, died Monday in a local hospital. Retired from Atlas Powder Co. he was a member of Ooltewah united Methodist Church, Ooltewah ORS Ridgedale Masonic Lodge, Ridgedale Scottish Rite American Legion and was the brother of the late Ogden and Eliza Fitzgerald.
Survivors include his wife, Florine Miller Fitzgerald, four daughters, Eleanor Neal, Kingston, Tenn., Peggy Thomas, Knoxville, Sue Marin (?), Mary Gray, Chattanooga; two sisters, Nina McArthur, Helen Genter, Ooltewah; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Services will be at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dale Gilbert and the Rev. Chris Carter officiating.  Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Syler Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Valley View Funeral Home.
