FRYAR - JAMES B., age 77, 3359 Center St., died Wednesday in a local hospital.
He was a life time resident of Lookout Valley, was retired maintenance
supervisor for the U. S. Post Office for 35 years, was a member of Lookout
Valley Masonic Lodge 673 and a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 483. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian
J. Morris and Miss LaFerna Fryar; son-in-law, Gilbert B. Morris, all of
Chattanooga; brother, P. F. Fryar of Lookout Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Ada
Robbins of Red Bank and Mrs. Eva Townsend of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandsons, Allen
Fryar, Raymond (Bubba) Fryar, Edward J. Whitehouse and James L. Morris, all of
Chattanooga, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.
Friday in the West Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert
Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Fryar cemetery. Pallbearers will be
nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lookout Valley Masonic Lodge
No. 673. The body is at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, West Chapel.
