Mrs. Rebecca L. Hale, age 79, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. D. Ellis, 1808 South Willow street, yesterday afternoon at 5 o’clock, after a few months’ illness. She is survived by five daughters. Mrs. C. C. Anderson, Mrs. M. J. Woy and Mrs. Martha Brown, of this city; Mrs. W. C. Bible, of Guild, Tenn., and Mrs. William Ford, of Sequatchie, Tenn.; three brothers, J. M. Gridley of Eastland, Tenn.; T. E. and J. A. Gridley of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. D. W. Miller, of Oklahoma, and Mrs. Josie O’Neal, of Rising Fawn, Ga. She was a member of the Hale’s Chapel M. E. church, south. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
