Ruth Hanes

Mrs. Ruth Hanes, 82 years old, died yesterday at her home on the Shallowford Road.  She is survived by one son, James Hanes, and one sister, Louise Davis of Birchwood.  The funeral will be held at the residence this morning at 10:30, the service will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel Quinn with internment at King's Point.

Notes:  This obit was found in the Bible of Emma Stover Scoggins it had no date but I know it was in 1915. The King's Point cemetery inventory does not list her grave -- therefore, she did not have a headstone. Her parents were Isaac and Margaret Hoots Stover.  Her husband was General Jackson Hanes Co. G 5th TN USA  died September 21, 1863 in Carthage, TN.
