HARTMAN MRS. BETTY, died Monday 5:15 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Whitehead, 1527 Burns Street. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. John Whitehead, Mrs. Lawrence Wrinkle, Mrs. John Bishop and Mrs. Harley Plemon, all of Chattanooga, and Mrs. George Hale of Athens, Tenn.; two sons, Clarence, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jesse Hartman of Chattanooga; 31 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ellar Clark of Chattanooga. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spring Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. A. C. Stephens officiating. Interment will be in Mcdill* Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Clifford Hale, Alex Bishop, Quinton Hale, Louie Hale, Ohma Hale and Alonzo Bishop. The body is at the residence, 1527 Burns Street, near Ringgold Road. R. J. Coulter Funeral Home in charge.
