Robert Arthur Hawk



HAWK - ROBERT ARTHUR (R. A.), 57, of Simms Rd., Harrison, Tenn., died Saturday morning in a local hospital.  A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, he was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight Lines, and was a veteran of World War II.  He was the son of the late Arthur and Cynthia Duncan Hawk.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Addie Knight Hawk, Harrison; one daughter, Mrs. Cynthia Workman, Harrison; granddaughter, Stacy Workman; four sisters, Mrs. Lorene Howard, Groveland, Fla.; Mrs. Annie Bell Davis, Kissimmee, Fla.; Mrs. Liddie Sims, Harrison; Mrs. Louise Massengile, Harrison; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Vern Duncan officiating.  Interment will be in the Bartlebaugh Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be David Carter, Troy Ingle, Buddy Sims, Billy Payton, Andrew Camp and Richard Sims.  Honorary pallbearers will include the drivers of Yellow Freight Lines.  The body will lie in state for one hour at the church before service.  Arrangements are by the Turner-Coulter Funeral Home.
