        E. FOSTER HIXSON, age 67, farmer of Gold Point.  Died Sunday night at his home.  Survived by his wife, daughter Mrs. Blanche McGill, 2 grandsons Albert and Foster Padgett, and Melvin Hixson of Hixson. 3 sisters, Mrs. Leona Bailey of Gold Point, Mrs. Lou Gibson of Chattanooga, and Maggie Elliott of Hixson.  Funeral at Hixson M. E. Church Tuesday at 2:00.  Rev. A. N. Daily officiating. Pallbearers R. T. Rawlston, N. Hixson, O.O. Scrudder, H. A. Scrudder, J. Will Whitice, Mance Sherrill, Randolph Howell, and Judge Hixson.

Ephraim Foster Hixson was born about 1857.  His wife was Susie Mathews, born 1854, died 9 Jan.  1831. They are both buried in Hixson Cemetery, Hixson, TN. His daughter Blanche married twice to James Padgett and Mr. McGill.
