Margaret Ann Lovelady Hixson

    Mrs. Margaret A. Hixson, died yesterday at her home at Hixson Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock after a brief illness.  She was married to Houston Hixson Nov. 28, 1871.  She is survived by two children, W. S. Hixson and Mrs. R. L. Rawlston of Hixson; also a granddaughter, one sister, Mrs. W. M. Rogers and several nieces and nephews.  She professed faith in Christ early in life and became a member of the M. E. church. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 12:o'clock from the residence, the Rev. W. M. Tidwell, assisted by the Rev. W. R. White officiating.  Interment will be in the Hixson Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be G. M. Rawlston, Sidney Allison, Frank Lewis, Z. T. Rawlston, Jr., John Pendergrass and Thomas Holcomb.  The R. J. Coulter company has charge of arrangements.

The death date is not clear on this one, the tombstone says Jan. 24, 1924. Margaret Ann (Annie) Lovelady was born 29 Nov. 1846, and married Houston Hixson, born 1848, died 1909). He was the son of David and Malinda Hixson Hixson, and he was sometimes called Houtie, or Hutie.  They had children: Arthur who died young, William Silas who married Lula E. Dent, Mary Elizabeth who married Robert Lee Rawlston, and Minerva M. who married Robert Lee Rawlston after her sister's death.
