Virginia Josephine Young Jennings

Virginia Josephine Young Jennings, 69, of Apison, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004, at a Nashville hospital.  A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a former employee of Conagra and was of the Baptist faith.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Rowena Henson Young, and son, Larry Howard.  She is survived by two daughters, Vicki "Lynn" Johnson and Jamie Strickland, both of Apison; two sons, Mike Howard of Apison and Tim Howard of Houston , Texas ; one brother, Don Young of Rossville; 16 grandchildren ; four great-grandchildren ; and one niece. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Junior Bryson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.  Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold , Ga. , 24-hour obituary line, 861-1060.
