Mildred Marie King of Hixson died Friday, Sept 13, 1996, in a local hospital.
She was 57.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was a former employee of Kingston
Pencil Factory and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy King; six daughters, Wanda Samples,
Jasper; Wilma B. Miles, Hixson; Rebecca King, Hixson; Karen Stewart, Georgia;
Kimberly Nail, Montlake, Tenn.; four sons, Tommy King, Jr. and Richard King,
both of Hixson; Jackie King, Chattanooga, and Jimmy King, Hixson; mother,
Elsie Sunderland, Soddy Daisy; three brothers, Lonnie and George Sunderland,
both of Soddy Daisy, and James Sunderland, Suck Creek Mountain; and 23
grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home
with the Rev. Herbert Chancey officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga
Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
