      Mrs. Mariah J. Massengale

     Mrs. Mariah Jackson Massengale, 85, died at her home, North Chattanooga, Route 5, yesterday afternoon after a lingering illness.

      Mrs. Massengale is survived by two sons, Annis and Dan, and one daughter, Mrs. Jack Massengale, all of Chattanooga.

      Funeral services will be held from Thompson chapel this morning at 11 o'clock, the Rev. Mr. Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Thompson cemetery, arrangements by Chapman.
