DAVID MAYO - David McKinley Mayo died Friday, July 11, 1997, in a local hospital.  He was 61.  A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army, with 14 years of service.  He was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was employed by Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company for several years.  Survivors include a daughter, Tammie Denton of Chattanooga; a brother, Paul D. Mayo; and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Father George Schmidt officiating.   The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
