William Spencer (Bill) Monds Jr. of Chattanooga died Friday, December 8, 1995 in a local hospital.  He was 65.

    He was retired from Foam Fabricators and worked at   for over five years.  Mr. Monds served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and he was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer and Bessie Monds.

    Survivors are his wife, Annie Monds; three sons, Billy Monds, Ralph Monds and Bill Barefield all of Chattanooga; four daughters, Linda Hall, Patty Ballew, Barbara Petty and Janice Linville,  all of Chattanooga; three brothers Ralph Monds, Orange Park, Fla., Richard Monds, Hixson, and Stanley Monds, Rossville; one sister, Alice Monds, Rossville; and 11 grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Monday in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Barkley officiating.  Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
