Copeland, Mrs. Lena Mae Davis, 75, of 5802 N. Shore Drive, Hixson, Tenn., died
at the residence Wednesday morning. She was the daughter of the late Rev. John
and Rachel Reneau Davis, pioneer settlers and Baptist Minister of North Hamilton
County. She was the widow of Harry Copeland. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs.
Mary Ford, Wildwood, Ga., Mrs. Freida Shafer, Rising Fawn, Ga.; four sons,
Arnold and Harold Copeland, Chattanooga, Gordon Copeland, Soddy, Don Copeland,
Hixson; two brothers, Eulis Davis, Daisy, Verner Davis, Newton Falls,
Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday at the graveside at Hamilton Memorial
Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Glen Blevins. Active pallbearers will be Homer
Davis, Greg Bettis, Paul Merriman, James C Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will
be Mrs. Mary Etta Hixson, Mrs. Edith Ashley, Mrs. Betty Davis, Mrs. Loneta Dent,
Mrs. Paul Shannon, Mrs. Lizzie Roberts. The family will receive friends after
2p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The body is at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons, Highway 27, Soddy-Daisy.
