Charles Creed Cox
COX, CHARLES CREED, 67, of 4807 Appian Way, Red Bank, died late Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital. He was a member of the Red Bank Church of Christ, an employee of Southern Railway for 45 years, a veteran of World War II, member of the American Legion Post No. 14. Survivors, wife: Mrs. Pauline T. Cox, Red Bank; one daughter, Mrs. James Homer Edmonston, Sarasota, Fla.; mother, Mrs. John T. Cox, Daisy, Tenn; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Shannon, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Kalford Cannon, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, R. E. Cox, Dayton, Tenn.; Bruce Cox, Red Bank; two grandchildren, Chet Allen and Cindy Michelle Edmonson, of Sarasota, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in R. J. Coulter Chapel with Raymond Crumbliss and J. W. Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Homer E. Edmondson, C. M. Cox, John R. Cox, Charles Knox, J. W. Thomas and Carl Claxton. Arrangements by R. J. Coulter Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
