Sam J. Dalton

    Sam J. Dalton, aged 56, passed away Saturday morning at a local hospital, after a lingering illness. Surviving Mr. Dalton are two daughters, Mrs. J. G. Fletcher, of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Arch Underwood, of this city; two brothers J. A., of Flint, Mich., and E. T. Dalton, of Guntersville, Ala. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge, of this city. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Coulter funeral home, Dr. O. E. Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga Memorial park. Pallbearers will be S. E. Winton, Ed Burton, Harry Bussell, Blain Underwood, Leslie Carroll and Jack Eldridge.
