Nannie Eldridge McRee


McRee Mrs. Nannie Eldridge, of 803 Clift Road, Soddy, a retired teacher in the Hamilton County school system for over 40 years, died Friday morning in a local hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Almeda McRee Frazier, Soddy; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Soddy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elmer Strait officiating. Burial will be in Presbyterian Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dewey Roark, Roy Eldridge, Maynard McRee, Donald Penney, Warren and James Davenport and Donald Walter Ewton. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mayflower Chapter of the O.E.S., Second Mile Class of Soddy United Methodist Church, Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association, Mrs. Eloise Gann, Mrs. Nell Smith and Miss Mary Gray. Memorial contributions may be made to Soddy United Methodist Church or Soddy Elementary School. Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, Soddy-Daisy.
