John B. Morgan

John Beavers Morgan, 89, prominent Hamilton County farmer, died
Friday at his home near Georgetown after a brief illness. He had lived in
the same community most of his life. Mrs. Morgan died December 5, 1937.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Minnie Morgan; a sister Mrs. Bess Leamon,
Chattanooga; a brother, G. R. Morgan, Texas; three grandchildren, Mrs. J. Hall,
Mrs. Mary Smith and Mrs. Coulter Roark; and three great grandchildren. Active
pallbearers are Ben and Curt Lee, Gale and Charley Moore, Haskell Smith, Fred
Leamon, Glenn D. Hughes and Jack Smith. Honorary pallbearers are James
Sheeley, Bert Roark, Fred Bacon, Claude Randolph, James Holmes, John Couch and
Lee Mooneyham. Funeral services are Saturday at 1:30 at Union Church. Reverend
Sylar officiating. Interment at Matthews Cemetery. Fike Funeral Home
in charge.
