Rufus E. "Bill" Morgan, 78, of Harrison passed away Thursday, July 18, 2002, at home.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a faithful member of Lakeway Baptist Church for many years. He was retired from Heatec and was a longtime employee of Mississippi Valley Structural Steel.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Pruitt Morgan.
Survivors are his wife, Mildred Bowman Morgan; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Deanne Morgan, Jacky and Cheryl Morgan of Harrison, Bill and Betty Morgan of Rossville; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and stepchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Lakeway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Carl Nolan and the Rev. Ralph Elder officiating.
Burial will be at Old McDonald Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends. The deacons of Lakeway Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. today at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
