ROBERTS, JOSEPH J. [Johnston] , 79, of Route No. 2, Soddy, Tenn., died Monday morning in a local hospital. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was a retired school bus driver. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iva H. Roberts, Soddy, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. George (Lucille) Brown, Riverside, Ill.; three grandchildren, Barry, Beverly and Sharon Brown, Riverside; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon from the chapel of the National Funeral Home with Revs. Luther Brown and C. H. Baggett officiating. Interment will be in Presbyterian Cemetery, Soddy. Active pallbearers: Hassel Cox, Elmer Cox, Charles (Bud) Cox, Dennis Roberts, Macon Roberts and Cecil Roberts. The body is at the funeral home.
