Shannon, Henley S., 82, died at home on the Gann Road, Hixson, Tenn., early Tuesday morning. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. J. E. Rogers of Hixson, four sons, Laney A. Shannon of Hixson, Frank B., Clint D. and Sam R. Shannon of Birmingham, Ala.; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral  services, conducted by the Revs. E. E. Harris and J. W. Davenport, will be held at 1:00 this afternoon from the Gann’s Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery. Active pallbearers are J.A. Rogers, Wayne Rogers, Wallace Roberts, Paul Shannon, Leroy Shannon and Claude Shannon; honorary pallbearers will be W. C. Harper, John Bowman, Creed Jack. . . .
