J.P. Underwood, 70, Dies in Dalton, GA.

Funeral Services to Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon

      Joseph Paul Underwood, 70, father of Archie M. Underwood and Herman O. Underwood of Chattanooga, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon in a Dalton, Ga., hospital.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gussie Underwood; four sons, Archie M. and Herman O. Underwood, Chattanooga, and Chester C. and S. E. Underwood, Dalton; two sisters and a brother.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Love Funeral Home in Dalton, the Rev. Henry H. Jones officiating.

      Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Dalton.
