Wiley F. Parker, a resident of Hamilton county throughout
the seventy-two years of his life, died yesterday afternoon at 1 o’clock at
his home, 4410 St. Elmo avenue, after a week’s illness. Mr. Parker was born at
Wauhatchie July 1, 1846, and resided on his farm at that place until about
fifteen years ago when he moved to St. Elmo. He was an active member of the St.
Elmo Church of Christ. He is survived by three sons, Jerry F. and J. M. Parker
of Chattanooga, and L. S. Parker of Nashville; three daughters, Misses Margaret
and Sallie Parker and Mrs. P. W. Stonestreet, of Chattanooga. He was a brother
of J. G. Parker, of Chattanooga. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
