Mrs. Margaret Stevens Pirtle, 80, of Memphis and formerly of Chattanooga, died in Memphis Saturday after a long illness. She was the widow of Robert Burgher Pirtle, a retired employee of Railway Express Agency in Chattanooga.  She was a member of the Highland Park Christian Church of Chattanooga.

Mrs. Pirtle is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eva R Pirtle Dickson of Memphis; two sisters, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in Memphis Tuesday morning.
