John Redden, 83, died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Grant, Soddy, Tennessee.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laila Campbell Redden; two daughters, Mrs. George Curvin and Mrs. W. J. Grant; son, Bruce Redden; sisters, Mrs. Alice Hatfield, Mrs. Sara Chancey; brothers, Bill, Ira, Alonzo, Joe, Charley, and Jim Redden; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted at the Soddy Church of God at 2:30 EST, Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Marshall Robinson officiating.  Interment in Chancey Cemetery.  F. P. Ewton & Sons, Dunlap, in charge.
