Sim Scott Roark, 80, of
Harrison, died on Sunday, March 26, 2006, in a local hospital.
He attended Friendship Baptist Church, and was a retired member of local IBEW
#175.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clay and Era Roark; three
brothers, Henry Clay Roark, J.D. Roark and L.J. Roark; and one grandson, Cody
Roark.
He is survived by his wife, Nell "Buddy" Johnson Roark; daughters, Sharon (Jim)
Lovell and Vicki (Tim) Lee; brother, Duane Roark; sisters, Nita Howard, and
Nannie Burns; grandchildren, Troy Lovell and Tami (Andy) Downs;
great-grandchildren, Make Lovell, Haven Roark and Luke Downs; and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Highway 58 chapel of
Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Grisham and the Rev. Herb Conley
officiating. Burial will follow in Bald Hill Cemetery with Sammy Roark, Scottie
Roark, John Paul Collins, Tommy Johnson, Winfred Cagle and Eddie Bacon serving
as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday up to the
hour of services at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes Inc.,
