Ruby E. Scoggins, 93, of Ooltewah, died on Saturday, March 31, 2007, in a local nursing home.
She was a lifetime member of Greenwood Baptist Church and retired from Brock Candy Company after 47 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James H. and Minnie D. Scoggins; three sisters; three brothers.
She is survived by her one sister, Violet Steele, of Chattanooga; two brothers, Frank Scoggins, of Harrison, and Marvin Scoggins, of Ooltewah; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Toby Brogdon and the Rev. James Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in New McDonald, East View Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Greenwood Baptist Church, 8529 Snow Hill Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363; or to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and on Monday up to the hour of services at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes, 894-2012.
