SHANNON, SAM RAY, SR., 74, of 864 Twin Lakes Drive NE. who died Tuesday, was a member of Huffman Baptist Church, where he was a life deacon. He was a retired employee of Jefferson Brick and Supply Co. and a member of Masonic Lodge 153. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roebuck chapel, with burial in Forest Hill. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cecil Gleen Shannon, a son, Sam Ray Shannon, Jr., Birmingham, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Roberts, Chattanooga, Tenn. The family suggests any memorials be made to Huffman Baptist Church or to the Heart Fund.
