TRENTON, Ga. -- Mrs. Effie [correct name is Essie] Long Simpson, 75, a life-long resident of Dade County, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred May Mahan of Wildwood, Ga. In addition to Mrs. Mahan, she is survived by her husband, Walter L. Simpson, of Wildwood; two daughters, Miss Irene Simpson and Mrs. Bill Niel Vann, and one son, Clay Simpson, all of Fort Lauderdale; three sisters, Mrs. B. A. Kirk, Lakewood, Fla., Mrs. E. W. Stein, Rome, Ga., and Mrs. J. H. Morgan of Chattanooga; two brothers, J. C. and J. H. Long, both of Chattanooga; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body is at Moore Funeral Home and funeral arrangements will be announced.
