Smith - George Columbus, 66, passed away at his home, 24th Street, at Benton Pike, Cleveland, Tenn., Monday at 2 o'clock following a long illness.  Surviving are a wife, Mrs. Dora Smith, daughter, Mrs. August Harvey, Cleveland, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, W. G. Smith, Bakersfield, Calif., Atlee A. Smith, Reno, Nev., one sister, Mrs. Alice Cheek, Benton, Tenn.; a number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted from Michigan Ave. Baptist Church Wednesday at 1 p.m., by Rev. T. H. Logan.  Interment in Riceville Cemetery.  Pallbearers Ed Burns, Earl Forgey, John Maney, Raymond Dixon, James Jackson, Ernest Evans.  Fike Funeral Home, Cleveland, in charge of arrangements.  Body will be at the home until hour of service.
