Roxie Grace Hickey Suit

Roxie Grace Suit, 91, of Lake Placid, Florida, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Lake Placid Health Care Center.

Born in Turtletown, Tennessee, she had been a resident of Lake Placid for eight years since coming to the area from North Miami.

Mrs. Suit was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Lake Placid.

She is survived by her husband Oliver N. Suit of Lake Placid; three daughters, Laura Boyd of Lake Placid, Rosalind Suit of Baltimore, Maryland, and Ellen Bullers of St. Petersburg; one brother, William Hickey of Chattanooga, Tennessee; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family received friends at Scott Funeral Home on Friday, April 27.  Funeral services were Saturday, April 28.  Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Rev. James Leach officiated.  Serving as pallbearers were Douglas H. Boyd, Bradley P. Boyd, Jeffery S. Boyd, and Bartley W. Blackwell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church Altar Fund, c/o Memorial Methodist Church, 500 Kent Ave., Lake Placid, FL 33852, or American Red Cross, 436 Palmetto Ave., Sebring, FL 33870.
