William “Bill” Sylar, 90, of East Brainerd, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at a local health care facility.
He was a lifelong resident of Ooltewah and the Chattanooga areas where he worked on the family farm and at a local lumber company for many years.
His parents, William “Bill” and Callie Sylar and three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving sister, Wanda Taylor of Chattanooga; two nieces, Geneva Williamson and Christine Hixson, both of Chattanooga; special cousin, Hartley Sylar of Ooltewah; and several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Sylar Cemetery in Ooltewah with Chaplain David Tullock officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
