Charles Clyde Tanner, Jr., 78 of Red Bank, died Wednesday morning Dec. 31,
2003, at his residence.
A native of Victoria, Tenn., he had been a
resident of the Chattanooga area most of his life and was of the Baptist
faith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy and
was retired from US Pipe and Foundry.
He is survived by his wife, Carroll Keith Tanner;
daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Steve Sells, Hixson; son and
daughter-in-law, Charles and Amanda Tanner, South Carolina; sister
Kathleen Tanner Wright, Ringgold, GA; brother Lebron Hill Tanner, Yuma,
AZ; two grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m.
Friday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Jim Millard officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. and
6-8 p.m. today at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
