Martha Jane Tanner, 82, passed away Tuesday afternoon,
May 23, 1950, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Owen of 206 E. Brainerd
Road.
Survivors are six sons and three daughters. Sons
are C. Clyde, Robert A., Harry T., James G., of Chattanooga; Samuel D., and
Andrew J., of Manchester; daughters are Mrs. R. L. Owen of Chattanooga, Mrs.
Almeda Mason of South Pittsburg, Mrs. Mamie Turner of Mobile, Ala., 42
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Ridgedale Church of Christ
Thursday, May 25, at 1 p.m.
Elders J. B. Beck and Howard Horton will conduct the
services. Pallbearers, grandsons, will be Robert Tanner, Jr., C. Clyde Tanner,
Jr., Lebron Tanner, Alvin Tanner, Frank Owen, Howard Owen, Robert F. Owen,
Lamar Owen. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Jasper, TN.
