TEAGUE – BROOKS HOUSTON, 78, of
3204 8th Ave.
, died Friday afternoon in a local hospital. He retired from Southern Railway in
1957 after 45 years’ service. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude H.
Teague, Chattanooga; five daughters, Mrs. Catherine Wilson, Mrs. Margaret
Headrick, Mrs. Bertha Teems, Chattanooga, Mrs. Imogene Wilson, Alexandria, Va.,
Mrs. Fay Gilliam, Penmar, Pa.; five sons, Frank L. and Bobby Teague,
Chattanooga, William L. Teague, Detroit, Henry V. Teague, Chicago, Raymond
Walter Teague, Atlanta; three brothers, Charles A. Teague, Chattanooga, R. F.
Teague, W. D. Teague, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three sisters, Miss Jennie Teague,
Mrs. Daisy Ray, Chattanooga, Mrs. Minnie Russell, Millsprings, N.C.; 14
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be held at
2 o’clock
Monday afternoon from the
Avondale
Baptist
Church
with Dr. J. R. Faulkner and Rev. Tom Pledger officiating. Interment will be in
Lee
Cemetery
,
McDonald
,
Tenn.
Active pallbearers will be nephews, John Teague, Alvin Teague, Tom Teague,
Charles Teague, Paul Ray, Gene Lawler. Honorary pallbearers will be Brotherhood
of Railway Carman. The body is at the National Funeral Home, East Chapel.
